Our Mission

Leeds Bacon Company (1977) Limited has been established since 1977, hence the name.

Originally, Leeds Bacon Company was based at the Penraven Industrial Estate to the north of the city centre in Meanwood. As the business built its reputation on excellent customer care and top class produce it continued to steadily grow, eventually becoming too big for its existing premises. Therefore, in 1988, the Company made the decision to relocate to larger premises in Bramley (West Leeds) where its success has continued.

The senior management of Leeds Bacon will demonstrate that they are fully committed to the implementation of the requirements of the Global Standard for Food Safety.

The Documented Quality System ensures that the Company can fulfil contractual obligations by:

  • Ensuring that all activities, which directly affect the safety, legality and quality of service, are carried out under controlled conditions
  • Continuous monitoring and analysis of quality indicators, which provide the feedback to enable quality improvement against customer needs and expectations.
  • Ensuring that the Quality System, which had been designed to comply with the requirements of the BRC Global Standards (Food), continues to reflect those inspections carried out by certification and customer audits.
  • Providing up to date instruction and training to all personnel together with the promotion of quality awareness.

We are committed to provide resources to maintain and improve the management system in order to enhance customer satisfaction and continually improve the effectiveness of the management system.

The management will ensure that this policy is communicated, understood and implemented at all levels in the organisation.
